"My 92yr old grandmother moved in with my husband and I until we were no longer able to provide her with the care that she required. After visiting several assisted living facilities I was worried that we would not be able to find something that was clean, affordable and that would care for her like her family. It was a very difficult choice to move my Grandma into an adult family home. We visited several homes and selected Caring Arms. Once we moved Grandma in, we were at peace. We could see that she was getting great care. Everyone at Caring Arms went out of their way to make Grandma and the family comfortable. We visit and spend fun time with Grandma and don’t have to worry about her daily living and medications. My Grandma did go through some significant downward changes shortly after moving in. Lisa kept us informed of each new change, and kept the doctor advised as well. We visit all the time and we always find a clean home with well cared for residents. I am so happy with our decision to move to Caring Arms.

"After a 3 month stay in a local rehab/nursing home facility to recover from a broken knee, my 87 years old mother was released. The impersonal, institutionalized care left her frightened and seriously depressed with no appetite. Her spirit was broken!
Much need personal care in all areas of Mom’s life was essential. After visiting several private home facilities to find such care, I chose Caring Arms AFH and put Mom in the trust of the staff at Caring Arms. They immediately took Mom under thier wing. Attention was paid to her personal hygiene and appearance with clean (no spots, "Lisa’s rule") clothing right down to her socks. The staff read to Mom, cried with Mom, held her hand when she was confused or frightened and encouraged conversation and simple tasks.
Mom’s lack of appetite was addressed with balanced meals served family style. Everyone dines together with the staff. Whatever assistance or encouragement is needed, the staff at Caring Arms is right there to help. Mom’s appetite is back and she is usually the first to finish.
Physician’s orders are meticulously followed and communication with me concerning Mom’s progress and health issues is top priority. This gives our family a much needed peace of mind.
It has been several months now since Mom moved to her new residence. Although she will never be whole again, Alzheimer’s & her failing body will not allow this, Mom feels safe in the caring arms of Lisa and her staff.
